Flower Terms & Conditions

Ordering flowers

After the initial consultation and discussion an estimate will be prepared, the prices quoted will be for flower costs at that time but prices vary according to the season and availability.  We reserve the right to increase or decrease the flower costs in line with market prices at the time of purchase.  Please note wherever possible we will stick to the prices quoted.  Once the estimate has been signed and dated it should be returned to Bennett & Wells with an initial deposit of 10% of the estimate.  This books the day.  The Balance of the outstanding quotation is due two weeks prior to the delivery date.  In the event of cancellation please give as much notice as possible.  If this is 12 weeks before the event 50% of the deposit paid will be refunded.

Availability of Flowers

Availability of fresh flowers is subject to availability and quality.  Occasionally chosen flowers may not be available and whilst every effort will be made to source the chosen flowers we reserve the right to substitute an alternative.   If you wish to change the order once it has been placed please contact us as soon as possible.  Orders cannot be changed once we have ordered the flowers but we will try to accommodate changes where we can.

Hire of Equipment

If you wish to hire items to compliment the arrangements a refundable cash deposit will be required when placing the order. These items will remain the property of Bennett & Wells.  Damaged or broken goods will be charged at their full replacement value.  We cannot accept a substitute item for damaged or broken vases/sundries.

Hired items must be returned to us within three days of the event.  Subsequent days will be charged for at a daily rate, unless a special arrangement has been made.  Please arrange to have hired items returned if you are going away please make an arrangement with a nominated person who can deliver them or we can collect at an additional charge.  Please ensure the items are ready for collection at the agreed time and place.

Delivery & Collection

Wherever possible flowers will be delivered and set up at your ceremony/venue by our team.  Bridal party flowers such as bouquets, buttonholes may be delivered to your home or nominated hotel/church up to two hours before the arranged time.  Delivery and set up is quoted at the time of the quotation depending of distances to the venue.

Care of the Flowers

Store the flowers out of direct sunlight in a cool place.  Keep away from direct heat.  A light spray with water will help keep the flowers fresh especially if the weather is warm.  Some flowers are harmful if eaten, care should be taken for those with allergies when handling the flowers.

Injuries & Damages

Bennett & Wells and their team will not be responsible or liable for injuries or damages sustained as a result of broken glass or materials, or from the floral arrangements.  Liability is limited to replacement of supplied goods and no responsibility will be accepted for any consequential loss.  We cannot be held responsible for injury or damage to persons or property from goods under hire.

Once flowers have been delivered we cannot be held responsible or liable for any interference or damage to the flowers.

Floral arrangements are made to your specifications after consultation, any changes requested and agreed will be amended on your Order, signed and dated.  Changes that may affect the price of the flowers will be advised, the difference should be paid when the balance is due.

Whilst Bennett & Wells have an insurance policy in place please ensure your own wedding insurance covers you in the event that the flowers cannot be delivered for reasons beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, road accidents, hold ups, vehicle breakdowns. Every effort will be made to ensure flowers are delivered on time and in good condition.
